GETTING MARRIED IN LAS VEGAS

Looking to tie the knot in Sin City? Welcome to the club of love. Around 120,000 marriage ceremonies are performed each year in Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada. Las Vegas plays host to an average of 10,000 marriage ceremonies each month. That’s over 300 weddings a day! And we can’t wait to marry you!
APPLICATION INFO
Attaining a marriage license in Clark County is super simple. Arrive in person before a clerk at a Marriage License Bureau location, either the downtown location, which is most popular or outlying offices.
Your proposed union must include two people who are unrelated, yes that’s right! We are in Vegas after all! Age 18+. You of course will have to prove identity so make sure to have your valid driver’s license, passport, military ID card or other government issued ID card. If needed a combo of a certified birth certificate and ID verifying documents will also work.
IMPATIENT POLLY’S?
Speed things up with the online marriage pre-application process (click here and follow the instructions). You’ll receive a reference a number to bring to the Marriage License Bureau along with your ID/documentation. You’ll even get to skip ahead to the “Express Window.” Your
reference number will remain active in the system for 60 days, just in case!
YOUNG AND IN LOVE?
Well, you are in luck! It is legal here in Las Vegas. Here’s the low down:
If age 16-17, you may marry with parent or legal guardian consent in person at the time of application.
Must haves:
1. Certified birth certificate; proof of identity for all people giving consent; a court order showing proof of legal guardianship; and a notarized affidavit of consent (English only), with birthdate of the minor and the relationship of person giving consent.
A person less than 16 years of age may marry if either parent or legal guardian files an action, pays all court fees and presents a court order from a Nevada State Court.
The Cost of Marital Matrimony
Well isn’t that a loaded question. Just kidding, marriage will cost you lots of things and in the beginning will only cost you $77. That’s for the marriage license. It’s payable by cash, cashier’s check, money order or credit card plus fee.
Have Test Anxiety – No worries!
Clark County, blood tests are not required and there is no waiting period. BONUS!
First marriage, wrong choice? Come to Vegas and roll that dice baby! Make sure your divorce(s) are final in the state(s) where granted. The date of the final decree, as well as the city and state where granted, will be required when you apply for your license.
Not from Around these parts?
International marriage information – Most countries will want a certified copy of your marriage certificate from the County Clerk’s Office ($15) and an Apostille from the Nevada Secretary of State ($20). The Nevada Secretary of State can send the Apostille directly to your government for you. Easy breezy, just like your new marriage will be!
